SALMON BITES IN THE AIR FRYER

These crispy air-fried salmon bites are irresistibly tender on the inside and golden-crunchy on the outside. Paired with a creamy, tangy dipping sauce, they’re perfect as an appetizer, snack, or even a protein-packed main dish. Ready in just 20 minutes, these salmon bites are healthy, flavorful, and oh-so-easy to make!

  • Total Time: 20 minutes
  • Yield: About 16-20 salmon bites 1x

Ingredients

Scale

For the Salmon Bites:

  • 1 lb fresh salmon fillet (skin removed)
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (panko preferred)
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt & pepper, to taste
  • Optional: fresh parsley for garnish

For the Sauce:

  • 1/4 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp honey
  • Juice of half a lemon
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  • Prep the Salmon:
    • Cut the salmon fillet into bite-sized cubes (about 1-inch pieces). For smooth slicing, use a cold knife.
  • Prepare the Coating:
    • In one bowl, whisk the eggs until smooth.
    • In a separate bowl, combine breadcrumbs, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  • Coat the Salmon:
    • Dip each salmon cube into the egg mixture, then roll it in the breadcrumb mixture until fully coated.
    • For an extra crispy texture, double-dip: egg, breadcrumb, and repeat.
  • Air Fry:
    • Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
    • Arrange the coated salmon bites in a single layer in the basket. Air fry for 8-10 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to ensure even crispiness.
  • Make the Sauce:
    • While the salmon bites are cooking, whisk together Greek yogurt, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, honey, lemon juice, and a pinch of salt in a small bowl.
  • Serve:
    • Once the salmon bites are golden and crispy, transfer them to a serving plate.
    • Serve with the dipping sauce on the side or drizzle it over the top. Garnish with fresh parsley for added color and flavor.

Notes

  • Storage Tips: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days. Reheat in the air fryer for a crispy finish.
  • Make-Ahead Option: Prepare the coated salmon bites ahead of time and freeze them. Cook directly from frozen in the air fryer for convenience.
  • Gluten-Free Option: Substitute panko breadcrumbs with crushed rice crackers or gluten-free breadcrumbs.
  • Serving Suggestions: These bites are versatile! Serve them as an appetizer, in a rice bowl with veggies, or tossed into a fresh salad.
